JIm Gilligan
Jim Gilligan (MBA) is vice president of Nexus Risk Management, a consultancy serving life companies and pension plans. He is responsible for executive advisory, business development and strategic planning. Mr. Gilligan served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada from 2000 to 2016. He was responsible for all executive and operational activities of Blue Cross Life, was an active member of the Board of Directors, and maintained strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, distributors, outsourced service providers, regulators and rating agencies. Mr. Gilligan began his career in the U.S. and was the first marketing leader of the merged PricewaterhouseCoopers organization in Canada. He served as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer. Mr. Gilligan has a BS from Villanova University and MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
