Daxton Gutekunst
Daxton Gutekunst is the 16 year old Founder of Kid By Kid, a 501(c)3 non-profit about kids helping kids. Three years since its founding, Kid By Kid has performed over 5,000 1-on-1 tutoring hours; helping Elementary & Middle School students from underserved Refugee, Immigrant, & English-as-a-Second-Language communities. Daxton is also a Davidson Institute 2020 Young Scholar Ambassador, as well as a member of the UCSD Center of Community Health Youth Advisory Council. The National Youth Leadership Council’s annual conference invited Daxton to present his student showcase titled, Evolving the Education Paradigm - The Untapped Resource to Bridge the Education Gap - Kids! Daxton was also invited to participate in the Harvard Undergraduate UNICEF Club Empowering Humanity Conference. Some support & partnerships Daxton has forged within Kid By Kid include: NYLC, SDSN, YSA, GuideStar, TVIA, Karen Organization of San Diego, Haitian Ministry, Feed the Children & Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
