Scott Dinits
Scott Dinits works as the Human Resources Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley and is also a Co-Director of the Ability First Sports Camp in Butte County, California. Scott has been part of the community support teams responding to the Camp Fire of 2018 and other fires that have affected the region. From providing immediate crisis response to post fire recover efforts, Scott has been a part of various community cohorts and responses to support those in need and mitigate the lasting effects fires and other various traumatic situations have had on the community. Over 20 employees and 400 plus youth his organization serves temporarily or permanently lost their living spaces because of the Camp Fire. For 17 years Scott has worked with school districts, community organizations, foundations, and service groups, providing a variety of services, including programs for people with disabilities and young people. Scott provides training and support to community-based organizations, parent workshops, and expanded learning programs for youth development practices, Trauma Informed and Responsive Systems and Community Resiliency Practices. Scott supports county initiatives as a Steering Committee member of Thrive, is on several different boards, and is a past board member and trainer for California School Age Consortium. He is currently certified in the Community Resiliency Model and as an ACE Interface Master Trainer.
