Dr. Harvey Kushner
As an internationally recognized authority on terrorism, Dr. Kushner has advised numerous governmental agencies both here and abroad on matters related to terrorism. As a certified terrorism expert, he has participated in such high-profile cases as the United States v. Usama bin Laden et al. (aka U.S. Embassy Bombing Trial) Charpié v. Charpié (landmark divorce proceeding involving terrorism in New York City); and Duffy & Pesce v. Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (civil litigation arising out of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing), among others. A widely published and best-selling author of hundreds of articles and five books on terrorism, Kushner’s Holy War on the Home Front: The Secret Islamic Terror Network in the United States was a Conservative Book Club’s “Selection of the Month.” His best-selling Encyclopedia of Terrorism has won numerous distinguished awards from such organizations as the American Library Association. Dr. Kushner’s career as a university administrator and professor spans more than four decades. He currently chairs the Department of Criminal Justice at Long Island University.
