Dr. Claudia Curry
An accomplished leader with 30 plus years devoted to education, teaching, and life-long learning, Dr. Claudia Hearst Curry has a proven track record for “speaking with great power”. She devotes her discourse to helping women improve the quality of their lives by equipping them with tools to empower themselves. Her presentations include Bounce Back: The Ultimate Strategy for Survival, Women as Agents of Change, Empowerment: An Inward and Outward Journey for Women, and Self-Esteem: A Biblical Perspective. An author, Dr. Curry has published Understanding the Empowerment Phenomenon: Effects of a Pilot Women’s Empowerment Program on Female College Students (Verlag Publishers). Her contributing chapter, Taking Matters Into My Own Hands: Strategies for Surviving the Culture of Academia appears in Making Our Voices Heard: Women of Color in Academia (Nova Science Publishers). Founder of the Institute for Women’s Empowerment Inc., Dr. Curry earned a Doctor of Education Innovation and Leadership from Wilmington University.
