Edwin Piñero
Over his 40-year career, Edwin has worked in the private and public sectors as a consultant to many clients on sustainability, environment, and energy. He is the President of EcoMetrics LLC, helping disseminate this methodology to quantify and monetize co-benefits resulting from natural solutions and ecosystems services projects. Edwin served as Head of Standards and Assurance for the Alliance for Water Stewardship. Edwin has also been involved in developing standards for 25 years, including working on sustainability, environment, energy and water standards. His standards experience includes developing requirements, validation, verification, and assurance aspects. He served as Senior Vice President for Sustainability for Veolia North America (VNA), and liaison to Veolia’s worldwide Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Affairs departments. He has also served in the public sector at both the Federal and state levels addressing sustainability issues. During his service as the White House Federal Environmental Executive, he focused on developing and implementing sustainability policy and practices within the US Federal government. He has Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the State University of New York and Master’s of Science degree in Geology from Texas A&M University.
