Carrie Madrid
Carrie began The CARE Project Inc., two years after her own Stage III diagnosis. During treatment, Carrie met other patients choosing between copays and medical bills or buying groceries for their kids. As a single mom going through treatment, this hit her hard. Carrie believes no one should have to make that choice. After doing some research, she realized that there weren’t any local organizations providing financial support to patients undergoing treatment. The goal of creating TCP was to provide emotional AND financial support to both MALE and female patients and to fill in the gaps of support within her own community and beyond.
