Leke Asong, MD
Dr. Leke Asong is a practising GP whose experiences span many years in both rural and urban GP practices. He now works as a locum GP in various parts of the country, having worked in over 50 practices including walk-in centres, urgent care centres, A&E and prisons. His pursuit of optimal health and quest to improve chronic disease outcomes led him to undertake further training in functional/lifestyle medicine. He owns and runs a health and wellness company, Gut Health Medic, with a focus on digestive health. Dr. Asong is also an inventor/product developer and signed his first licensing deal in 2018 with a US-based company. He has a catalogue of products from various industries on demand available for licensing. Dr. Asong is also fluent in both French and Italian and loves cooking, music, and dance.
