Charlie Grosso
Charlie Grosso is the founder and Executive Director of Hello Future, an international nonprofit working with refugee youth to prevent a lost generation. Hello Future transforms the refugee youth experience from alone, stuck, and forgotten to connected and empowered so they can thrive anywhere. We accomplish this through an innovative education model based on the 21st-century skills essential to succeed in today’s rapidly changing, interconnected world. Charlie has 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur. Founding her first business at the age of 20, she went on to be a successful advertising photographer working with Lexus, Nike, JC Penney, Comedy Central and more. As a creative director, her clients include Paramount, Variety and FX. In the last 10 years, she’s traveled and toiled in over 80+ countries, working as a writer, documentarian, filmmaker and consultant specializing in strategic management and program design for social enterprises, tech/media companies and NGOs. Charlie is an Edmund Hilary Fellow, Kravis Leadership Moonshot Fellow, and a founding member of +Acumen's The Foundry. She currently serves as an advisor for a number of start-ups, including Pretty Deadly and Squawk Squad. Hello Future is the culmination of her lifelong passion for innovation and social justice.
