Luba Sasowski
An only child to Immigrants, Luba Sasowski has never been afraid of hard work. She grew up speaking Ukrainian as her first language in the small town but traded in small town life at the early age of 18 and moved to Vancouver, determined to forge her own way in the big city. Luba developed a bond with the beauty industry at a very young age. Transitioning into the corporate world with no experience or post secondary education to support her cosmetic aspirations, Luba took a cashier role at a chain drug store. She quickly moved her way up the ranks, thanks to her drive and ambition and then became Regional Cosmetics Manager, and shortly after, National Cosmetics Manager for all of Canada, under the age of 30. Her efforts in the beauty industry did not go unnoticed; earning Luba feature articles in Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Cosmetics Magazines and published in HELLO Canada, among others. With an aim to create a fun, safe work environment for women, she set off on her own to start an international business.14 years later and her companies are still woman-led and operated, with a mission to help women feel supported to succeed in their own beauty careers. Luba is a true testament of what hard work and a little lipstick can do! From moving cities at a young age, to sleeping in her car and shady motels, she is now a role model for many women wanting to explore the beauty & wellness industry, and a showcase that there are no limitations other than the ones we set on ourselves.
