Rachel founded Curieus, a nonprofit that brings hands-on science to underserved kids to spark curiosity and increase diversity in STEM. Her team of 150 high school volunteers has provided free weekly after-school science programs to more than 3,000 at-risk youth. From a small start at her local Boys & Girls Club, she has grown Curieus to 21 chapters across Silicon Valley, New York, and London, among other locations. She has garnered $18,000 for her program from groups such as Google and GoFundMe Gives Back. When the pandemic shut down her program sites, she and her team developed and distributed educational videos, free science experiment kits, and live online workshops, reaching families across the globe.
