Anne deLain Clark
As a communication/relationship coach, Anne deLain W. Clark has been helping people ask, listen, and respond better since she took on the government liaison role of Coordinator of the NM Radioactive Waste Consultation Task force in 2001. It was at the onset of this role, steeped in an environment of fear and distrust, that Anne embarked on becoming an interpersonal communication expert and transformative mediator. With her 20 years of mediation experience, over 300 hours of formal training, ten years of experience in teaching transformative mediation, and a certification in Conversational Intelligence® for Coaches, Anne has helped others understand the power of conscious communication to improve relationships within families, businesses, governmental agencies, and groups across the nation. Since 2019, she has been incorporating understanding of how our brains work and primary human needs to focus on helping families in conflict over crisis issues such as child custody and elder care. “As social animals, human beings are driven to connect, to rely on each other, to find common goals; this is the foundation of our survival as a species. Discovering the deeper needs and concerns of the people on all sides of any issue results in the discovery of more commonality than difference,” she says.
