Amanda Banks

Amanda Banks earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University. A race equity consultant, she has served in leadership roles in education, churches, nonprofits, and civic groups in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Banks is the author of "Amazing Race: Inspiring Leadership Lessons Based on the Life of 1968 Olympian and Coach, Jarvis Scott." When she is not writing or working in her community, Banks enjoys the outdoors and serving in her church as Youth Director and Drill Team Instructor. A community advocate, Dr. Banks subscribes to the declaration of educator, author, and politician, Shirley Chisholm, "Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on earth.
