Emmy nominated Tonja Walker Davidson – actor, singer, stage performer and film producer with hundreds of credits on television, feature films, cabarets and the theatre. Perhaps best known from Daytime Television’s One Life to Live on ABC in her 8-year role as Alex Olanov Buchanan – the woman you love to hate. After 14 years on Daytime Television, Tonja made singing tours across the country opening for national recording artists and starring in her own one-woman show in LA, NY and Vegas. Tonja has starred in pilots for TV, episodic TV, mini-series, films and was associate producer of the play Enchanted April. In 1997 Tonja married Cleveland entrepreneur Edward Davidson and is now the mother of two beautiful girls and three step-children, Tonja cherishes this important part of her life. She speaks of family times as being the happiest when she can bring all the children together, her sisters and their families, their parents and share a special day. Seeing the need for quality family entertainment, Tonja formed Tonja Walker Productions in 2005 and successfully produced a feature film called Derby Stallion. After being released in 2007, it won awards from The New York International Film and Video, Dove Award for Family Entertainment and international recognition by the London Children’s Film Festival. It went on to be a high selling DVD in 2007. The film starred, along with Tonja and her daughters Abrianna and Isabella, Bill Cobbs, Zac Efron, William R. Moses and Crystal Hunt. After working alongside many starring actors such as Matt Dillon, Ryan Phillippe, Michael Nouri, Elaine Stritch, William Shatner, Nathan Fillion, Ann Reinking, Thom Christopher, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the folks from Derby Stallion, appearances on Oprah, Live, Leeza, Vicki, singing our National Anthem at sports events, being Miss Maryland at Miss USA, working with David Zippel and Bill Conti and the great Cy Coleman, Tonja never stops learning and performing. She credits her previous coaches Seth Riggs, Lilyan Chauvin, Jeff Cory, Lonny Stevens and Dan Fauci for heading her down the right road. Now she is studying music with the renowned David Friedman. Amazing Tonja finds time for philanthropic endeavors, is working on a children’s book, creating a TV show, and teaching young acting students musical theatre at a studio she started (Tonja Walker’s Professional Performing Arts Studio). She says her studio gives her a chance to give back all the blessings that have come to her throughout her career. With all this, she still dreams of hosting her own variety show, write and star in a primetime series, host a political news show and working on Broadway!
