Lori Lynn, co-author of the upcoming book Happily Unemployable and host of the Rise and Climb podcast, wasn't cut out for the traditional 9-5. While homeschooling her trio of child actors, she found herself in the middle of an ugly divorce. Although everyone said, "Get a job," she didn't want her kids to have to give up their creative lives, and she didn't want to outsource motherhood. So she decided to start a ghostwriting and book-editing business instead. She took that entrepreneurial venture from 0 to 6 figures in 2020—as a single mom—without a logo, a website, or a business degree. She encourages people to make money doing what they love by skipping steps, rewriting the rules, and turning their passions into profits.
