Barbara Gibson
Photo credit: Jenni Girtman Barbara Gibson is Housing Programs Director with Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence. She has provided leadership and advocacy with a focus on resilience, compassion, and safety since she joined the Center in 1989. Barbara encourages regular self-nurturing practices to deepen the connection to our innate well-being. Additionally, Barbara is a 200-hour registered yoga instructor and meditation guide with Insight Timer. Barbara is certified by the Trauma Resource Institute as a Community Resiliency Model teacher and has completed Shambhala training Levels I, II and III, as well as Cognitively Based Compassion Training (CBCT). She has appeared on a variety of radio and television programs to explain the importance of building resilience and providing safe places for victims of domestic violence, including children. She believes safer homes and communities are possible.
