Sage McLaughlin
Sage is a Senior Corporate Alliance Manager with Duke Energy. As a resident client expert with deep knowledge of the technology industry’s top companies and their corporate goals, challenges, and energy aspirations, Sage develops strategies and relationships between Duke Energy and key strategic customers. Prior to Duke Energy, she served in a variety of strategy and business leadership roles for technology and startup companies. These ranged from operational intelligence, SaaS, telemedicine, mobile app development and sports XR, as well as innovation and analytics. Sage joined Duke in 2017 to work in Analytic Products and Transformation where she led analytic innovation in a data science organization— navigating ambiguous situations with an eye towards building great things with great teams. Diversity, community, and clean energy are key to a brighter future. With that in mind, Sage serves as an Advisory Board Member of Fleurix, a women+ in tech conference in Charlotte, NC— Fleurix aims to increase the number of women, non-binary, and transgender people in tech. She’s an Advisor for the Joules Accelerator, an organization that connects cleantech startups to pilot and commercialization opportunities. Sage received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the Univ. of Idaho and holds a professional certificate from Stanford University in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technology. Sage grew up in Blackfoot, ID and now resides in NC with her husband and son.
