Aman Kubrom
Aman Kubrom, RN, BSN is an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. The son of immigrants from Eritrea, Aman is multilingual and brings a multicultural lens to his work. Prior to becoming a nurse, Aman graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a BA in International Affairs and then spent several years as an emergency responder for the Red Cross, working for international affairs organizations, and then as a Case Manager for homeless men prior to pursuing a nursing degree. He received an accelerated second bachelor’s degree in nursing from Linfield College in Portland Oregon and has worked as an ICU nurse in Oregon. In addition to bedside care, Aman is a leader in his unit and hospital and serves as a charge nurse, preceptor for new hires, is an active member of their education and training council, and works as a quality coach with an emphasis on harm reduction hospital wide.
