Gerald Everett Jones is a freelance writer who lives in Santa Monica, California. Preacher Raises the Dead is his twelfth novel. In the past two years, his mysteries have won five book awards, including Gold and Silver in the New York City Big Book Awards – besting entries from not only indies but also the Big Five publishing houses. He’s also won multiple awards for his literary fiction. He is a board member of the Independent Writers of Southern California (IWOSC) and host of the GetPublished! Radio show. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the College of Letters, Wesleyan University, where he studied under novelists Peter Boynton, F.D. Reeve, and Jerzy Kosinski.
