Jay Reid
Since age 19, comedian Jay Reid has been entertaining audiences in Las Vegas and beyond. The Vegas native began his comedy career performing stand-up in small clubs throughout his hometown, and has since appeared in comedy venues from Los Angeles to Iraq. Notorious for his stand-up comedy, Reid has also established a name for himself as a writer, actor and television host. Reid’s first big break came when he was chosen to be a contestant on BET’s (Black Entertainment Television Network) comedy competition, "Coming to the Stage," where he went head-to-head in a weekly comedic battle against other rising comedians. As a result of the appearance and his overwhelming talent, Reid quickly began garnering attention and booking performances at notable comedy clubs such as The Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv, and The Comedy Store. Reid is still continuing to perform his first love, stand-up, at comedy venues throughout the country. He stars in his own hit shows "Comedy & Cocktails" & "Sophisticated Sundays" every Tuesday & Sunday's at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas. Reid is also currently on a nationwide tour with fellow comedian Bill Bellamy on “The Ladies Night Out Tour,” as well as his solo tour which commences in August. Reid can also be seen on the Showtime Network on the highly anticipated comedy special “Ladies Night Out Comedy Tour".
