Gaia Colabella
Gaia Colabella is an Italian citizen and a 10th-grade student at the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ). She has lived in three different continents, including North America, Europe, and Africa. South Africa is her most recent move, where she relocated with her family in August 2019, at the beginning of 8th grade. At the AISJ, she found teachers and an environment that made her cultivate her passion for books and to help others. In the last year, Gaia started to set up a Mobile Library Project, which reminded her of her time in Italy. With this initiative, she provides reading and teaching materials to local communities, aiming at sharing her passion for reading and learning. In her spare time, Gaia loves to horse ride, as she is part of the AISJ Equestrian team, and also enjoys baking and hanging out with her friends.
