Emy Tafelski
It is my passion to help you reach your potential, live your best life, have your most fulfilling relationships and connections. I obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University (formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology). I also have my doctor of philosophy (PhD) in psychology, with a concentration in consciousness, spirituality, and integrative health. My dissertation research focused on rebuilding the Self after trauma and loss and I am passionate about helping you do the same. Before entering this field, I was a yoga teacher, instilling in me a great appreciation for acceptance, and present moment awareness. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT); International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy; The Focusing Institute. Now, I am a sex therapist in the state of Florida. I have completed additional advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). EFT is one of the most effective forms of couples therapy and I believe that it is an incredible way to bring about change. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the state of Florida (MT3066).
