Patricia Boswell, LPN, MBA
Patricia is the author of CAREGIVING WITH LOVE AND JOY: An Expert’s Guide to Providing the Best Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Homecare (Avery, April, 2022). She is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who has worked in a variety of home healthcare settings as well as private duty nursing, hospice, group homes, and senior living centers. She is a certified dementia practitioner from The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, and holds an Aging in Place certification from the National Association of Home Builders. Patricia is actively involved with the Alzheimer’s Association where she is part of the advocacy and diversity outreach team for the national organization. Patricia is also an entrepreneur and an MBA. She is the creator of Safonique, one of the first plant-based, natural, and eco-friendly laundry detergents. She has been awarded The Food Marketing Institute New Product Showcase Award - Beauty and Health Category, 2004, for Safonique, and the Walmart - Women Empowerment Scholarship at the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College. Previously, Patricia worked for Avon Cosmetics for ten years in manufacturing management in the Health, Beauty, and Jewelry Divisions. At Avon, Patricia was the first female, African American MBA hire.
