Therese Shechter
Therese Shechter is an award-winning filmmaker, public speaker, and the founder of the production company Trixie Films. Her work fuses humor, activism, and personal storytelling to explore a host of thorny questions around women's roles and destinies. Therese's most recent film, My So-Called Selfish Life, is a revolutionary documentary about reproductive freedom and one of our greatest social taboos: choosing not to become a mother. The film has been screening in Europe, North America, and Asia, while Therese has fostered discussions on pronatalism and reproductive justice at leading institutions from Harvard to the American Public Health Association.
