Susan Madison
Susan Madison was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. She studied poetry and fiction writing at Columbia College of Liberal Arts. A poet, essayist and visual artist, Madison uses her artistic creativity in workshops and speaking engagements with healing themes that center around using love as a tool to control one's destiny, live a peaceful life and become healing sources for the people in their lives. Madison is the author of two chapbooks, "If I Can't Sing the Blues" and "Gullah Paths", as well as the forthcoming book, “When I Rise”. Her stories and poems have been published in various publications including: Chicken Soup for the African American Soul, The Low Country Weekly, and the recently released celebrated Anthology, UKWELI Searching for Healing Truth, South Carolina Writers and Poets Explore American Racism.
