Slava Hazin

Born in the former Soviet Union in 1966, Slava Hazin and his family emigrated to Israel in 1973 and to the United States in 1974. He grew up in Rego Park, Queens and was the first in his family to graduate from college, earning his B.A. in political science from Vassar College and then his J.D. from New York Law School. He completed law school in 2 ½ years by taking summer courses. He has practiced law for more than 30 years and is currently a partner at Warshaw Burstein, LLP, a midsize Manhattan law firm, concentrating in commercial and real estate litigation. Prior to Warshaw Burstein, Slava was an associate attorney at Dreyer and Traub, and Fishbein Badillo Wagner Harding. He has been actively engaged in his community. For the past 14 years, Slava has served as President of his condominium on the Far West Side of Manhattan. He is also the President of the Riverside South Park Owners Association, which is responsible for maintaining the park that runs along the Hudson River from West 59th to 72nd Streets. In February 2019, Slava was featured in a New York Times article on living on Riverside Boulevard (https://nyti.ms/3pw00tU). He has written and been quoted in many articles in the New York Times, the New York Law Journal, the Cooperator and other publications regarding real estate matters. He’s been a fan of the N.Y. Yankees since 1976 and the N.Y. Giants since 1978.
