Dr. Elizabeth Hintz
Elizabeth Hintz (Ph.D. University of South Florida) is an Assistant Professor of Health Communication at the University of Connecticut. Elizabeth's research examines how individuals managing complex, stigmatized, and poorly understood health conditions navigate challenging conversations with partners, family members, and medical providers. Her work can be found more than a dozen peer-reviewed academic journals. She has received numerous top paper, teaching, and research awards such as the Donald P. Cushman Memorial Award for Outstanding Scholarship, Franklin H. Knower Award, and Arthur P. Bochner Award for Outstanding Achievement in Doctoral Studies, among others.
