Sharon Brock
Sharon Brock is a breast cancer survivor, a health-and-wellness journalist, and a certified Mindfulness Facilitator, trained at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center and UCSD’s Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. She has taught mindfulness for the past six years at corporations, meditation studios, universities, and with private clients. As a mindfulness teacher, Sharon combines Eastern philosophy with Western neuroscience and teaches from the intersection of science and spirituality. In 2018, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she wrote a book about how she used mindfulness to manage her emotions during this challenging time. The book became an Amazon bestseller, and in 2019, Sharon was featured on “Good Morning America”. Today, Sharon is launching the second edition of her book, which is titled: The LOVEE Method: Mindfulness Meditation for Breast Cancer. The book is a teaching memoir where she shares her personal story of using The LOVEE Method (a 5-step mindfulness tool to manage anxiety, anger, and depression) to improve her emotional wellbeing while undergoing treatment. The book also offers audio meditations to listen to during and after chemotherapy, and post-surgery for pain management and optimal healing, making the book both a heartfelt memoir and a practical guide.
