Max Spoto
Max Spoto is the Chief Operating Officer for Global Markets at UBS where he manages strategic requirements and operational risk, working closely with partners in the Corporate Center to deliver the front-to-back management, controls and supervision. Previously Max was the Global Chief Operating Officer for the Equities business and before that regional Operating Officer for APAC, based in Hong Kong. During his time there he improved the sustainability of a well-managed front to back risk profile and the profitability of the IB as well as actively contributing to the development of the business strategy. He ran the Risk and Operating Committees to ensure the orderly running of the Investment Bank. Before joining UBS in 2007, Max was at JP Morgan Chase for seven years.
