Scott Alexander
Scott’s initial attraction to college admissions was a natural complement to his interests in policy and storytelling. He remains in undergraduate admissions because of the reward and satisfaction from his work thus far. As a first generation-college student, Scott is committed to the cultivation of a diverse student body and advocates how the admissions process is a key point into opening doors and opportunities for social change. Scott traveled away from the East Coast for the first time when he began recruiting for Connecticut College. Twenty-two years later, he’s traveled to 85 countries (and counting) on 6 continents (sorry, Antarctica). After studying government and theater as an undergraduate, Scott earned a master’s degree in liberal studies at Wesleyan University. By joining the Bates admission team, he’s completed the small liberal arts trifecta in Maine: Bates – Bowdoin – Colby. By the time he retires, perhaps he will have an affiliation with every NESCAC school. In the meantime, as a Maine native, Scott serves as a local resource for area attractions.
