Anastasia Allison
Anastasia is the founder of a gear company called Kula Cloth ® , which makes the very first antimicrobial pee cloth for anybody who squats when they pee. As a former park ranger and backpacking instructor, Anastasia was frustrated by the amount of toilet paper that she saw discarded in the wilderness - and she decided to create an intentional piece of gear that could help solve that problem. While Kula Cloth started as a piece of gear, the company now hosts events and has transformed into a global community of artists, dancers and lovers of the outdoors. A lifelong musician, Anastasia is also the violinist for a duo called The Musical Mountaineers. Alongside pianist Rose Freeman, the two women carry a violin and a keyboard deep into the mountains to play unannounced sunrise serenades for no audience, except an occasional marmot and the Cascade Mountains. The pair has performed at Benaroya Hall in Seattle to benefit the Washington National Parks Fund. In addition to running a gear company and performing music, Anastasia lives in a cabin on a lake with her husband Aaron and their 3 cats.
