Robert Hurst, MD, FACC, FASE
Robert Todd Hurst, MD, FACC, FASE is a board-certified preventive cardiologist and founder of HealthspanMD, a practice that helps people achieve their health and longevity goals using a comprehensive and connected approach combining medical expertise with lifestyle change. Originally from New Mexico, he completed an Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship at the Mayo Clinic - Arizona. He spent 12 years as a Consultant in Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic - Arizona, where he was an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, Founding Director of the Heart Health and Performance Program, and the Carla J. and Russell P. Paonessa Chair, Wellness and Health Education. Subsequently, he spent two years as the Associate Physician Executive Director, Banner Heart Institute, Center Director for Cardiovascular Health, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona/Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix. Dr. Hurst has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and authored the WebMD Heart Health Blog. In addition, he has given over 100 presentations at medical educational conferences and regularly speaks on the prevention of heart disease.
