Lisa Patterson
Lisa Patterson is the Program Director for Externships, Public Interest and Access to Justice Initiatives at the University at Buffalo School of Law. She previously served as the Vice Dean for Career Services at UB Law for 22 years. Ms. Patterson uses her many years of experience in legal career development and experiential learning to help students and alumni become their best professional selves and find satisfying work using their law degrees. She currently also serves at the President of the Board of the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo, the city’s oldest indigent legal services provider. Before moving to Buffalo, Ms. Patterson was the Director of Career Services at Notre Dame Law School. She holds a JD from Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor’s degree in the Study of Religion from Harvard University. There, she ran a “text processing” agency that typed student papers and resumés using a shiny new machine called a Mac. She has been playing with new tech ever since.
