Gail Kennedy
Gail Kennedy holds a background in public health education, research and programming, and has been a public health advocate for decades in communities both globally and locally. After receiving her Masters degree in Public Health from Columbia University, she spent many years working and travelling internationally for University of California, San Francisco in HIV programming. More recently, she worked for PACEs Connection, specializing in raising awareness of the impact of positive and adverse childhood experiences (PACEs) and resilience building throughout the life course. Gail recently retired and shifted her focus to consulting with organizations who are committed to improving the health and well- being of the workplace. Her work is based on a strong belief that the power of self-care fuels the ability to show up and care for others, including creating collective care policies and systems, which leads to stronger and healthier communities. Gail has over 20 years of experience as a yoga and mindfulness practitioner which guides her work and her daily life. After losing her husband to cancer in 2021, she became a member of the Yolo Cares Center for Loss and Hope’s spousal and partner grief group, which has provided her with valuable support and new friendships as she navigates her grief journey. Gail was recently trained as an End of Life Doula, and she volunteers at Cancer Champions as a well-being coach. She is also a practitioner of Yoga for Grief Relief and Mindfulness
