Rand Wilson
Dr. Rand Wilson is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and wild man. Dr. Wilson spent the first 12 years of his career serving our country's veterans while working for the department of Veterans Affairs (VA). During that time he specialized in PTSD, evidence-based psychotherapies, and was a national Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) trainer. While his work in the VA was incredibly rewarding, he found that spending over a decade stuck in an office left him feeling disconnected from nature both physically and spiritually, and lacking a sense of freedom and vitality in his life. At the same time, Dr. Wilson began taking an interest in nature-based approaches to psychological healing and decided that sharing this with others would be his calling. And so after several years of planning, Dr. Wilson walked away from his VA career, solid his house, bought an RV, and he and his family began wandering the country in search of beautiful, healing, wild places. He is married and has 2 incredible, wild children. He currently offers psychotherapy and meditation coaching through his online practice, and when his family settles, has plans to open a "Hiking Therapy" practice and meditation retreat.
