Dr. Jane van Dis
Dr. Jane van Dis is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Rochester. She lectures nationally and internationally on the intersection of the climate crisis and women's maternal health. She co-founded OBGYNs For A Sustainable Future, an interest group of Health Care Without Harm. Dr. van Dis has also published in academic journals on the climate crisis and women's health. Jane was a co-founder of TIME’S UP Healthcare, which addresses gender equity and sexual harassment in healthcare. She is currently working on a manuscript focused on the decision to have children in a climate crisis and the role patriarchy and pronatalism have played in controlling women's reproduction.
