Kyle King
With nearly three decades of experience in international crisis management and civil emergency planning, Mr. Kyle King is a seasoned expert in the field of Crisis, Conflict, and Emergency Management (CCEM). Mr. King's professional journey began with a 17-year tenure in support of the US Department of Defense Emergency Services, during which he participated in Stabilization Force (SFOR) operations in Bosnia and provided support for US efforts in Afghanistan. He then transitioned to NATO, serving as a Civil Emergency Advisor at HQ KFOR in Kosovo. Mr. King founded Capacity Building International and has been working as a Subject Matter Expert in Crisis Management, Emergency Planning, and Institutional Capacity Building in support of US bilateral programs. Concurrently, he completed a senior level two-year secondment with the Organization for Security Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). More recently, Mr. King launched Crisis Lab, a new and fully accredited peer-to-peer professional development platform for academics and professionals. Mr. King completed certifications at the level of Chief Fire Officer within the US Department of Defense and holds a Master of Arts in Diplomacy as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business/Public Administration. Additionally, he serves on the board of The International Emergency Management Society, a Brussels-based nonprofit organization committed to advancing best practices in emergency management worldwide.
