Candace MacPhie
Candace MacPhie has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, an MBA, and worked in the corporate world for twenty years on four different continents. She enjoyed her 8-7 job but it left little time for an outside life and her kids were growing up way too fast. In 2017, she shifted gears and quit her job to spend time with her family. This is when she started writing her five-part Back in a Year series sharing the hilarious and messy real adventures she had while backpacking and working around the world in the ‘90s. Writing takes time too, but she’s home and available to her crew while doing it. When she’s not spinning up stories at her computer and yelling, “Just a few more pages, then I’ll make dinner,” you’ll find her hiking in the Rocky Mountains, swimming, or making up new cake recipes.
