Dawn Hendricks
Dawn Hendricks is a seasoned business strategist, advisor, mentor, and coach with over 18 years of experience across public, private, community, and non-profit sectors. As the founder, President, and CEO of FM Talent, she leads an award-winning recruiting and consulting firm with over 150 staff nationwide. She holds degrees from Hofstra University (BBA) and American University (MS in HR Management), and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Dawn began her career at Fannie Mae and has transformed FM Talent from an $18M P&L into a leader poised for significant growth. FM Talent has received accolades including the Contractor of the Year Award from USDA FSIS, 2022 Dream Big Awards Finalist, and 2021 Top HR Consulting Company by HR Tech. As Chairwoman of the Board for the Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL), Dawn focuses on economic and political empowerment in underserved communities. She also serves on the CityDance School and Conservatory Board of Directors, supporting young dancers’ professional careers. Her leadership has been featured on WUSA’s Great Day Washington, WHUR, Rolling Out Magazine, Urban Magazine, and Afro Newspaper, and she will be featured on Bloomberg TV’s The American Dream in 2023. A fun fact about Dawn: she won the DC Dancing Stars glitterball trophy in 2019 for her award-winning foxtrot.
