Brenna Berman has shaped a career over the past 20 years at the intersection of innovation, technology and cities. She has held positions as CEO and CIO across private and public sector organizations; centered on the adoption of technology and solutions in urban environments. As CEO of City Tech, she launched more than 30 collaborative solutions to solve global urban challenges – focused on issues no single sector or organization could manage. Prior to this, Brenna served in Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration as Chief Information Officer and Commissioner for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), implementing a vision of data-driven resident services for more efficient, effective, and innovative city services. Through unique partnerships at City Tech, the City of Chicago and the University of Chicago, Brenna realized the vision of urban-scale sensing with the Array of Things.
