Linda Smith
Linda Vaupell Smith grew up in Phoenix, AZ, in a family home filled with Christian love and encouragement. She has been active all her life, with coaching, public speaking, and being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She married her husband, Mickey Smith, in 1968 and raised two sons while juggling three jobs simultaneously: Linda Belle, the birthday party clown; Linda’s Dolls and Things; and a Christian events company, where she worked as a tour guide. She became Secretary-Treasurer of the family business, Smith Painting, Inc. She became a widow in 2006 after her husband died due to poor health. Linda has chosen to remain single. After 45 years at the same church, she is now happy to be the leader of the widows’ group, called Naomi’s Daughters, and serves as co-leader in their vibrant Veterans Ministry, enjoying it all in what she calls her Golden Life.
