Karen Justice
With thirty-two moves through twelve states and three countries, thirty-one years as an Army wife, and a constantly fluctuating career, Karen Justice has learned that things never stay the same. She’s taught three- to seventy-three-year-olds, written promotional materials for tourism and inventions, earned an M.B.A. in Norway, managed non-profits, and facilitated strategic planning. Based on life lessons, she has developed a copyrighted decision-making process for managing change. Karen has learned to adapt (except when she can’t find her chocolate), find opportunities and advantages in various situations, and plan proactive responses to maintain some control of her life. The changes that becoming a widow created brought totally different circumstances. As co-author of Widows Among Us: Stories to Prepare, Be, and Help a Widow and co-owner of Three Widows, LLC, she shares her lessons with others.
