Bernadette Chapman

Bernadette Chapman is an award-winning screen and playwriter, director, producer and actress from the Dayton, Ohio area. After graduating from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1984 with a B.S. in Radio/TV production she moved to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore to work in video production. Gigs ranged from producing a nightly horse racing program to editing radar training videos. The mid-90’s took her to Alabama, where she got married, became a mom and a political consultant. In 2006, Bernadette found her way back to her first passion, making movies. Credits include writing and producing The Old Lady & The Boxer, which has shown on six of the seven continents and has received numerous awards. She has written over eight screenplays from horror, western, to romance and is currently in development/writing The Gatekeeper about FDR’s private secretary and Joe Saturn series based on The Old Lady & The Boxer.
