Dr. Stephen Sideroff
Dr. Stephen Sideroff is an internationally renowned psychologist, and professor at UCLA, publishing pioneering research in brain and behavior. He has established programs around the world, and hosted summits in longevity, and leadership. In his first psychology class he was given a rat in a cage! He taught it to press a bar for food, and to avoid shock. It was an “eye opener.” Is it possible to boil down human behavior to lessons taught to a rat? Through his own experience, he discovered that emotions play a large part, as people close to him experienced anxiety and depression. It revealed a willingness to be open to the lessons of experience instead of a fixed belief. it took him into the mind-body connection – how feelings create holding patterns. He then explored how breathing exercises and emotional expression are important in healing. His new book is “The 9 Pillars of Resilience: The Proven Path to Master Stress, Slow Aging & Increase Vitality.”
