Fiona Bayliss
Fiona Bayliss, a Nursery Nurse, combined her love for children and travel with live-in Nanny positions in Europe, North America, and New Zealand. Initially planning to return to England to work in maternity wards, her romance in Canada led her to marry and emigrate in 1987. Transitioning careers, she had a successful career in Finance, earning several financial designations, establishing and running a Women's Financial Planning Center for several years. A major medical diagnosis ended her ability to drive, forcing her to pivot, becoming the main Financial Consultant at a banking institution, until her health necessitated permanent disability. Despite her health challenges Fiona is active in her community, volunteering and serving on the boards of various nonprofits for those with chronic illness or financial hardship. Her book “98% Normal” covers major life challenges related to health, finance, relationships and career, showing how we become better individuals through adversity.
