Captain Eddie Elmore
Captain Eddie Elmore is a 20-year veteran of the Florida Highway Patrol, currently serving as the District Commander of the Pensacola District, which includes the four westernmost counties of the Florida Panhandle: Walton, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Escambia. He also leads the North Special Response Team, specializing in high-risk search warrants and fugitive apprehension. In addition, Captain Elmore serves as the Troop A Quick Response Force (QRF) Commander, responsible for mobile field operations to address civil unrest and oversee natural disaster response efforts, including hurricane preparedness. A graduate of the 110th recruit class, Captain Elmore holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Chipola College and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University, with a minor in Sociology. He has participated in numerous leadership training programs, including the Polk State College National Innovation Academy Class-1. Throughout his career, Captain Elmore has held various specialized roles within the agency, including Public Information Officer (PIO), Recruiter, Background Investigator, and Recruitment Coordinator. He is also a proud combat veteran, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
