SCARLETT LEWIS founded the non-profit Choose Love Movement™ after her six-year-old son, Jesse, was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012, the worst mass shooting in an elementary school in U.S. history. Scarlett discovered a message Jesse had written on their kitchen chalkboard: “Nurturing, Healing, Love.” These words became the catalyst of a worldwide movement, and a powerful universal formula for helping people become the best version of themselves. When individuals feel good about themselves, and learn tools that enable them to grow through life's challenges, the suffering that leads to many diseases of despair can be reduced and prevented, including violence, mental illness and addiction. Hurt people hurt people. Choose Love For Schools offers award-winning no cost curriculum for PreK through grade 12 teaching essential life skills necessary for thriving.
