James C. Grotting, M.D., F.A.C.S.
James C. Grotting, M.D., F.A.C.S. is in private practice in Birmingham, Alabama and specializes in aesthetic facial, breast and body contouring surgery and breast reconstruction. Among his many accomplishments a few of the highlights of his career are that he is Clinical Professor at UAB and University of Wisconsin Madison, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Patient Safety Committee of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, president of the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, founder of CosmetAssure, an insurance plan developed to provide coverage in the unlikely event a patient suffers a complication after cosmetic surgery. It is available only to patients of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons and is endorsed by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a volunteer for Operation Smile making numerous trips to under served countries to perform free facial surgery on children afflicted with cleft lip and palate.
