Earlier this year, we dedicated the month of March to the women creating a legacy in the worldwide PACEs movement. Agnes Woodward is Néhiyaw(Plains Cree) from Treaty 4 Territory and a member of Kawacatoose First Nations. She has lived in North Dakota with her husband and children for the majority of the last seventeen years on the Ft.Berthold reservation. Sheis the Director of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Storytelling Project, a new Initiative launched by Seeding Sovereignty. Agnes is an MMIW family member and advocate, activist, Speaker, grassroots community organizer, and co-owner/ribbon skirt designer of ReeCreeations.
