Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.
Brian Gawne, CAPT, USN, retired, joined Fisher House Foundation in 2010 after 28 years of naval service. He is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, holds a masters degree from the Naval War College, and has logged over 3500 flight hours in fighter aircraft as a Naval Flight Officer.
Kerri Childress currently serves as the Vice President for Communications at Fisher House Foundation, having recently retired from the government after 33 years’ service. She was on the front lines in Palo Alto, California, when our severely injured troops started coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan and saw first-hand the impact of a Fisher House and the difference it made for veterans, their families and VA staff.
